At time of writing the sun is shining, we are basking in Mediterranean like temperatures and the famous Ty Gwyn Cider Farm’s 360º views are very much in evidence. Our sun deck is open for business!

There have been some very exciting developments in the last six months. Our cider is now available on mainland Europe. Or more specifically in Germany, thanks to a Frankfurt based company deeply passionate about their craft/real cider from the UK, ‘Ciderkultur’. Slightly closer to home we’ve also recently seen some Ty Gwyn Cider wending its way north of the border to an outfit called Beercraft in Kelso. We have a packed calendar of events and shows this year, including the BBC’s ‘Countryfile Live’ at Blenheim Palace in August and the world famous Abergavenny Food Festival in September, to name but two. Please check our website for details.

We’re also offering a brand new incentive to anyone helping us get even more trade customers on board. A free six bottle gift box to anyone persuading a drinks business local to them to place an order with us (Ts & Cs apply, please contact us for details). Help us spread the gospel of real proper 100% juice cider made the traditional way and bag yourself some free artisan booze into the bargain!

Finally, for anyone thinking of taking a break, our area has heaps and heaps to offer. We’re at a convenient crossroads between picturesque market towns Monmouth and Hay on Wye, Cathedral City Hereford and ‘Gateway to the Beacons’, Abergavenny. The Black Mountains isn’t as well known as the Brecon Beacons and as a consequence is quieter and less ‘tourist-y’. It’s chock full of medieval castles and abbeys, outstanding outdoor activities and great places to eat and drink. It goes without saying that the area is a heaven for cider enthusiasts and as well as ourselves you can find a plethora of other cider makers all bringing their unique stamp to the tapestry that is the UK craft cider scene.

See you at the cider bar (open Wed to Sat 10am to 6pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays 11am to 5pm)
